My Approach
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT explores the connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions that can lead to distress. It helps individuals identify and challenge negative or inaccurate thinking patterns, enabling them to respond more effectively to difficult situations. The premise of CBT is that thoughts influence emotions and behaviors. Various forms of CBT are employed to address the multifaceted aspects of trauma.
Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Building Stronger Relationships
Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) aims to enhance individuals' interpersonal relationships while addressing their current concerns. By fostering stronger relationships, IPT helps clients establish a robust support network, which plays a crucial role in their healing journey.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
SFBT centers on identifying solutions rather than dwelling on the presenting problem. Through motivational interviewing, the therapist guides the client to recognize their inherent strengths and abilities, fostering self-efficacy and promoting positive change.
Multicultural Therapy (MT)
Multicultural Therapy is a form of talk therapy, often combined with other interventions, designed to address the unique concerns of individuals from marginalized or minority groups. These groups may be defined by race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, income, disability, or other social factors.
